What the Wondrous, Wild Wolf Mother (and Father) knows:
The Wondrous, Wild Wolf-Mother is the woman/mother who, by being fully connected with her own wild nature, her wild woman archetype, knows instinctually what is empowering and what is disempowering to her children and teaches them this above all else. Here is the measure of her authority and what she imparts:
The Wondrous, Wild Wolf-Mother doesn't need any authority teacher, doctor, minister, priest, rabbi, mullah, school administrator, media outlet, family member or friend to tell her what is right for her child.
The Wondrous, Wild Wolf-Mother knows what true nourishment is and she knows what undermines nourishment (on every level). She knows because she has learned to nourish herself emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually.
The Wondrous, Wild Wolf-Mother knows the life-generating force working in her and through her as her primary sustenance. She also knows the counterfeit force and what it looks like, feels like and sounds like. She is a fierce protector and is fiercely loving, because in their functional expressions, love and ferocity are two sides of the same coin.
The Wondrous, Wild Wolf-Mother knows that chemicals, vaccines, cell phones, junk food, cacophonous frequencies shut down the wild nature and thereby compromise survival.
The Wondrous, Wild Wolf-Mother knows that the instinctual self is essential to functionally interpreting and responding to life.
The Wondrous, Wild Wolf-Mother knows the connection between suppression of expression and the resulting depression (and self-defeating behaviors) that will inevitably follow. This is what I call "the suppression-expression-depression-connection."
The Wondrous, Wild Wolf-Mother knows when to hold her man-cub and woman-cub closer and when to let them take on greater independence and work through struggles on their own. She knows that by interfering at critical growth junctures she could completely undermine pivotal leaps into maturity. Those leaps would mean the difference between survival and obliteration in the wild (and in captivity).
The Wondrous, Wild Wolf-Mother knows that she's her offspring's example; she must embody all that is required for life to thrive. Therefore she does not compromise a life of meaning for anything less, despite what others think of what she chooses to spend her time on. She does what is necessary to remain sovereign, strong and sound. She knows that her cubs will learn by example, not by preaching.
The Wondrous, Wild Wolf-Mother knows that she must teach her cubs the deeper reasons for things and instruct them by demonstration in the Natural Laws.
The Wondrous, Wild Wolf-Mother knows that the child-come-young adult needs to be in constant connection with his/her own wild nature and to learn the difference between being a wild person who 'plays at domesticity' and who appears to observe some of the cultural norms vs. being a domesticated person who 'plays at being wild' or the type who confuses the two.
The Wondrous, Wild Wolf-Mother knows the domesticated world is the world of unnatural, enforced order and structure. It has its purpose, but it must be balanced by and ruled by the 'wild truths.' For example, a house may be useful in that it brings comfort and shelter but the house must obey the Natural Laws for it to be ultimately a place of true shelter.
The Wondrous, Wild Wolf-Mother knows that adolescence is an initiatory process just as adulthood is. She knows the importance of helping her children find their place in the bigger picture at those critical junctures. And she knows her own initiations: she will one day become the old crone, having embodied "the shrewd-minded, wily-eyed sharp eared" status having escaped victimhood from the 'predator.' (From Clarissa Pinkola Estés', Women Who Run With The Wolves).
The Wondrous, Wild Wolf-Mother knows that menstrual blood is power and it is potential life. It has the pre-nascent soul energy in it. It is called "anlage"* and it should not be plugged up or intoxicated with chemicals or worse yet, suppressed with hormones.
The Wondrous, Wild Wolf-Mother knows that the health of her grandchildren is at stake and that with each generation in an entropic world, there is degeneration and decreased organ fortitude. She knows the 'books must (and will) be balanced.'
The Wondrous, Wild Wolf-Mother knows that her children's destiny is directed and nothing should be forced.
The Wondrous, Wild Wolf-Mother knows the signs and indicators of corruption (rot) and calcification and can therefore intervene preemptively to prevent harm to her cubs.
The Wondrous, Wild Wolf-Mother knows that Spirit (Supreme Intelligence) reigns over all. She knows that helping to shape the Spirit will shape the life. A good Spirit = a good life. A strong Spirit = a strong life. She knows that sometimes we need to parent our own Spirit.
The Wondrous, Wild Wolf-Mother knows there are rhythms and cycles to life and how and when they operate. She knows that the panther roars to protect what is of value to it and that the cycles and rhythms of life also protect and evolve what is of true value.
The Wondrous, Wild Wolf-Mother knows the vital importance of cleanliness and teaches her children that cleanliness begets healthy rhythms.
The Wondrous, Wild Wolf-Mother knows that it is more important to be true than to be nice. Nice is submission to 'the predator.' Imagine a wolf mother teaching her young to be nice in the face of an angry ferret or a wily diamondback rattler. (From Clarissa Pinkola Estés' Women Who Run With the Wolves).
The Wondrous, Wild Wolf-Mother knows she must make her children aware of subtle danger, not be naïve, to trust their instincts.
The Wondrous, Wild Wolf-Mother knows to teach her cubs to speak up and speak out, to be of ever ripening consciousness, to be curious, to question everything, to be able to see what's coming. She teaches them the difference between functional curiosity, which is investigation, discerning what is protection and survival, and dysfunctional curiosity, which is snooping and gossiping.
The Wondrous, Wild Wolf-Mother knows how to see beyond appearances and teaches this skill to her cubs.
Anlage: the psychological inherited predisposition to inherent fruits, the premordium germ bud, an embryonic area capable of forming a structure, the part of a cell characterized as "that which will become." Within the anlage is the primal substance which in time will develop, causing us to become a complete someone. (As explained and defined in context by Clarissa Pinkola Estés in Women Who Run With The Wolves).*
